An itinerary exploring the evolution of winegrowing in Salento, revealing the character of the region through the contrast between historic wineries and contemporary interpretations of wine.

The itinerary travels through Monteroni, Guagnano and Salice Salentino, areas deeply rooted in the Negroamaro tradition and the production of Salento’s great red wines.

Three different wineries reveal how the local wine culture has preserved its identity while embracing new production techniques and a more contemporary approach to wine.

Depart in the morning for a journey through some of the areas that best represent Salento’s winegrowing tradition.

The guided visits take you into the heart of the wineries, offering an insight into the winemaking process and the characteristics of the main native grape varieties.

At each winery, a tasting of three selected wines provides an overview of the different interpretations of the local terroir.
